Important Note to SSC Parents at Skidmore Practice Site

Skidmore Practice Site Holiday Schedule

(Dec. 14th-Jan. 3rd)

SSC has been informed by Skidmore College that the pool at Skidmore will be temporarily closed for maintenance & repairs effective as of Monday, December 14^th.  The college expects to conclude this pool work by the targeted date of January 3, 2010, however this end date may change.

We are pleased to inform our SSC families at the Skidmore practice site that the Club has made alternate arrangements and secured the use of the pool at Ballston Spa High School (less than 15 minutes driving time from Skidmore) for practice during the period December 26^th-January 2^nd.  However, from December14th-December 24^th, all practices for all groups at the Skidmore site will be held at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School.  The option of attending practices with the Main Group, if more convenient, will of course, continue to be available.  If  work does not begin on the Skidmore pool on December 14^th, SSC will continue to hold practices at Skidmore until the actual start of work.   Please continue to monitor the practice schedules as posted on the SSC website very closely. 

SSC parents at the Skidmore site are encouraged to make carpooling arrangements and share rides whenever possible.  The SSC bulletin board in the bleachers at the Skidmore pool will be available for parents’ use for the posting of notes regarding rides and carpooling.  The Club thanks you in advance for your patience and understanding during this temporary disruption to the practice schedule during the Holiday period.  Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Club President, Vic Romanov (e-mail: vicromanov@schenectadyswimclub.org  or phone: 882-9850) or Head Coach Jerry Adams (e-mail: jerry@schenectadyswimclub.org).  Questions regarding the Skidmore practice site holiday schedule will also be addressed during the parent Q & A Meeting to be held at the Skidmore Pool on Thursday, December 3^rd at 7:00 pm.
