As announced at the parent meeting, we are honored to have been selected by USA-Swimming to receive a multi-day Olympic Development Team Camp at our facilities Oct. 12-15, 2008 (Columbus Day weekend, beginning Sunday).  Every member of the club will be included in activities in and out of the water. Take the time to read the info posted on our web site and make your fall plans around these dates so you can take advantage of this fantastic opportunity with us!  

Region One Championships at RPI are around the corner (Feb 15 – 18).  In order to make this a successful meet, we need your help.  Please see the work sign-up sheets on BHBL and Skidmore bulletin boards.  There are seven sessions in this trials & finals senior meet. Concession will be in the lobby outside the pool. Job choices include timing. If your child is not swimming, we ask you to work one session.  If your child is swimming, please work as many sessions as you are available. Older swimmers are also welcome to help. Younger swimmers – come cheer on the team at finals on Saturday, Sunday or Monday! Thanks for supporting this team endeavor.

Spring Break Clinic registration forms and info are posted on our web site.  The clinic is open to swimmers from all teams in the area and there is limited space. It runs Monday thru Thursday in the mornings at Skidmore.

The Team Picture will be taken at Burnt Hills on Silver Championships Psyche Party day, Wednesday 2/27.  All practices for all groups will be at Burnt Hills that day.  Look for team photo order forms soon.  All swimmers in groups One thru Senior should make an effort to come for the picture.  WEAR  YOUR TEAM SWIM SUIT.  GRADUATING SENIORS - BRING YOUR TEAM WARM-UP TOP.

Equipment Announcements:

          All equipment orders have been delivered. If you think you are missing equipment you ordered, please contact Mark Duchesne immediately. 399-8832 or kmduchesne@msn.com

          We are considering ordering team silicone caps if there are sufficient orders. Caps will be $10. - $11. each, if we get orders for 50 caps.  Email Mark with your interest and how many you would like to order ASAP.  They will be the same look as our latex caps, which will continue to be available.

          Skidmore families:  Early in the season someone kindly offered to deliver equipment to two Skidmore swimmers.  They never received their equipment, which has since been replaced.  Please check your cars and closets for plastic grocery bags with Moffre or Nielson written on them.  Each contains a suit, team shirts and a cap. Contact Mark if you find them – it will be much appreciated!
