Dear Coach

Your club came up for this program predominantly by virtue of performance at either long course seniors, juniors or short course seniors.  While it is the performance of the very top athletes that brought this opportunity to your program, the Master Coaches are there to assist with the entire program, especially the senior groups as a whole.  The Master Coaches generally spend about three days at each site.  Their goal is to give you the best possible support and information.  They will participate with the parents on your request.  They will observe and interact with coaches and athletes and in the end will provide you with some suggestions to help bring the program even higher than it is.  Less than 70 clubs each year receive one of these coveted visits, we hope we can participate with you and your club this coming year.

The list of clubs that have been part of this program is very impressive.

Dear Coach

CONGRATULATIONS!   Because of your fine coaching and outstanding swimmer(s), your team has been selected for a FREE USA-S Olympic Development Team Camp as part of the Master Coach/Consultant program.  The purpose of the visit is to challenge  your swimmers, help your staff, and teach parents as you see fit.  Your team is rewarded because you’re making things “happen” with swimmers.  Visit focus is to reinforce the things you do, and challenge senior swimmers with strategies and sets used by coaches of Olympians. The visit is structured as you like.  The purpose is to help you retain and add more kids to your “Olympic” dream pipeline.  I am also ready to get ideas from you and share those garnered from visits to over 68 teams nationwide.  It’s a win:win $3,500+ deal for FREE.  Please share this with your staff, BOD/boosters.   

 The attached Pre-Visit Planning list serves as a menu of topics from which to create the visit, but it’s what you want.  While working with you and a future world-class swimmer is the prime concern, we have also worked with age group swimmers, assistant coaches, parents and BOD’s too!  Unless requested, I am not writing or running practices. Many of the coaches have had me run challenging sets to compare results with Olympians or other visited teams, because they’ve coached the same kids for many years. Visits last four days, during which time we’ll work together in front of the team.  Please set aside some time to discuss; periodization, monitoring training, threshold software, racing and solving team “issues”, and time with the Age Group coaches helping them with coaching problems they are encountering.

In 68 visits to date coaches, swimmers, and parents have been most appreciative.  If you’d like to talk to visited coaches just ask for the list. I will be available as a contact forever, if you like.
