It’s time to register for the fall/winter Schenectady Swim Club season. You have two registration options:

           1. Register by mail (new!) - Must be postmarked by August 15^th, following instructions below.

 2. Register in person on Thursday, 8/21 (6-8PM) or Tuesday, 8/26 (5-7PM)

Any returning swimmer registration postmarked after 8/15 and/or not submitted in person on 8/21 or 8/26 must include a $50. late fee in order to be processed. This includes Varsity girls.

No Swimmer can be allowed to begin practice until they are fully registered.

Swimmers do not need to be present at registration.  In order to expedite the process, please sign the enclosed USA Swimming form and download medical, payment and registration forms from our website. Fill them out before arriving at registration, or mail them by the deadline. All outstanding fees from previous seasons must be paid before registering for the 2008-2009 season.  You must reconcile any outstanding meet fees at registration.

If you have questions, or there are corrections needed on your USA-Swimming form, contact me by email at registrar@schenectadyswimclub.org or by phone 383-8741. Aside from your signature, do not write on the USA-S form.  

Registration fees will be as follows:

Pre-competitive-18 week session        $260

**new this year: post-precompetitive “Journey to Silvers” optional add-on (details TBA mid-season)

Groups 1 & 2                                     $575

Group 3 &4 (Bronze)                          $675

Senior                                                $750

Group fees include USA swimming registration fees.

Payment is expected at registration.  There are several options available. 

• You may pay in full by cash, check or credit card. 
• You may pay 50% at registration, 25% by October 1^st and the final 25% by December 1^st by pre-authorized credit card or post-dated checks submitted at registration.
• We are offering a monthly draft option where the payments will be pre-authorized and automatically charged to your credit card in 5 equal installments over a 5 month period.

Each swimmer will have a meet fee account established for them at registration and a deposit of $50 is due by September 30^th or at registration.  Meet entry fees will be debited against this account and you will be billed periodically to replenish the account.  If you have questions regarding meet fee accounts and possible outstanding balances from previous seasons please contact Patty Rowledge at 374-7854 or prowledg@nycap.rr.com.

September tryouts and new swimmer registration will be posted on the club website in August.  If you know someone who would like to try out but is unable to attend this tryout, have them contact me for alternate arrangements.  If a swimmer is new to USA swimming, they must bring a copy of their birth certificate to the tryout.  If a swimmer has been previously registered with USA swimming a transfer form signed by the former team will be required. We will not register returning swimmers at tryouts.
